This guide is deliberately label-first. Use the exact directions supplied with your product and ask your tattoo artist before appointment day.
01 / Before the day
Ask + patch test
Check with your tattoo artist before using any numbing product. Read the complete label, including active ingredients, contraindications and cautions. Perform the required patch test early enough to observe the result.
02 / Prepare the area
Clean + dry
Wash the intended area and dry it completely. Use only on intact skin. Do not apply to broken, irritated or recently tattooed skin unless an approved product label specifically directs that use.
03 / Follow the label
Apply + cover
Use only the amount and method stated on the supplied label. Do not guess, combine products or extend the application area beyond the directions.
04 / Before tattooing
Wait + remove
Leave the product in place only for the labelled time, then remove it before your appointment as directed. Tell your artist what you used and when you applied it.
05 / Storage
Keep it controlled
Keep below 25°C, out of direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Do not use damaged or unsealed packaging.
